Renewal is a big word and can mean a lot. In relation to the fashionshow 2023 of the university Barreira A+D the idea was rethinking the whole concept of fashion and the fashion industry and forming a deeper relationship with the clothes we were.
In the end my proposition for the visual identity of the fashion show wasn’t chosen. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the process of developing my concept and the design for this project.
If you go deep and analyze the main problem of fashion nowadays, you find this enormous fast pace: Constantly new trends, changing seasons, small prices that allow mass consumption. All this leads to a blurry relationship with our style. But we need to slow down, stop, and think about what we really like to create a better relationship with our clothes again.
So, I decided to visualize this velocity and the moment to stop this blur. So that we actually can see something again.
